ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A day of mourning is being observed across the country on Friday to express solidarity with oppressed people of Gaza.

On the occasion, the national flag will fly at half-mast.

In a statement on Thursday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced Friday as a day of mourning to show solidarity with people of Gaza.

The prime minister also ordered to contribute $1 million in UN flash appeal for Gaza Palestinians.
