ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed has announced to get rid of losses of Pakistan Post by the end of this month.
In a statement, Murad Saeed said that Pakistan Post has been facing Rs 52 billion deficit annually.
The minister said that we have been making efforts to make Pakistan Post a profitable institution by ending the losses. He added that we have been improving the infrastructure of Post Offices.
Murad Saeed also said that the federal government has launched several initiatives including electronic money order and same day delivery. He said that Pakistan Post has been facing several challenges while we have been striving to resolve those challenges as soon as possible.
Meanwhile in a tweet, the German ambassador in Pakistan Martin Kobler said that Pakistan Post has become a reliable source of sending consignments.
Expressing confidence on the services of Pakistan Post, Martin Kobler commended and thanked the Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed for better services and friendly behavior of the Pakistan Post employees.
The ambassador said that he has dispatched a gift through Pakistan Post to his family in Berlin.
