ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad has said that Pakistan Railways is open to all merit based international investments.
Sheikh Rasheed made these remarks in a meeting with the Ambassador of South Korea to Pakistan Kwak Sung-Kyu at the Ministry of Railways in Islamabad on Monday.
During the meeting, the South Korean ambassador showed interest in up gradation of Ml II and III. He said that a high-poer South Korean delegation is coming to Pakistan and will visit different departments of Pakistan Railways on December 3, 2018.
Sheikh Rasheed said that Pakistan Railways is ready for mutual cooperation with South Korean. He said that up gradation of ML I, II and III is his priority.
The Secretary Railway Board Farrukh Taimur Ghilzai, the Director General Mohammad Yusuf and the Director General Technical Munawar Shah were also present in the meeting.
Privatization Commission Board to initiate appointment process of Financial Advisors for PSEs tomorrow
Meanwhile, the Privatization Commission Board in its meeting to be held tomorrow (Tuesday) under the chairmanship of the Federal Minister for Privatization Muhammad Mian Sommro will consider the approval for initiation of appointment process of Financial Advisors for Public Sector Entities (PSEs) approved by the Federal Cabinet in the Active Privatization Program.
The Privatization Commission Board will also consider the recommendations of Need Assessment Committee (NAC) for appointment of Consultants and other officials.
It will be the second meeting of the newly constituted Privatization Commission Board by the present government.
