Pakistan records 75 more COVID deaths a day, highest since July 10

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan suffered 75 deaths caused by the Novel Coronavirus on December 1, the highest since July 10, indicating that the infectious disease is again turning out to be more fatal as the day passes.

In the last 24 hours, 2,829 new infections were registered across Pakistan; therefore, the total tally has now reached 403,311.

The data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday morning says that 35,197 COVID tests were carried out in the Country on December 1 which found 2,829 of them positive.

The data reveals that in the last 24 hours, Punjab recorded 3,066 new Coronavirus Cases and 30 deaths, Sindh 2,962 Cases and 27 deaths, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1,375 Cases and 6 deaths, Islamabad 324 Cases and 6 deaths, Balochistan 169 Cases and 2 deaths, Azad Kashmir 173 Cases and 4 deaths, and Gilgit-Baltistan 97 Cases.

So far a total of 345,365 patients have won the battle against the disease with a recovery ratio of 85.6%.

Currently, the total Active COVID-19 Cases in Pakistan are 49,780 including 2,244 Critical.

Of the infected persons, 2,810 are admitted in 615 hospitals with COVID facilities across the Country.
