ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 98 COVID-19 patients died and 5,329 new infections were registered across Pakistan on Wednesday with a ratio of 10.7%, the latest statistics by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) showed.
The NCOC’s statistics showed that out of 49,816 people, tested on April 7 for Coronavirus, 5,329 were found positive.

Out of 98 COVID fatalities recorded across Pakistan on April 7, 62 occurred in Punjab, 23 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 6 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), 4 in Sindh, and 3 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
So far a total of 705,517 Coronavirus Cases have been registered in Pakistan including 267,612 in Sindh, 240,584 in Punjab, 94,880 in KPK, 63,499 in ICT, 19,999 in Balochistan, 13,873 in AJK, and 5,070 in the Gilgit-Baltistan region.
Whereas out of a total of 15,124 COVID-19 deaths, 6,793 have been recorded in Punjab, 4,520 in Sindh, 2,519 in KPK, 591 in ICT, 386 in AJK, 212 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The NCOC’s statistics showed that 623,399 people have recovered so far across Pakistan from the disease making it a significant count.
As of April 8, there are 66,994 Active COVID-19 Cases in Pakistan.
