ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Office on Thursday once again made it clear that the recognition of Israel was not under consideration by Pakistan.
In his weekly news briefing in Islamabad, the Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri reiterated that there was no change in Pakistan’s principled position on the issue.
The Spokesperson said Prime Minister Imran Khan had also made it clear that unless a just settlement of the Palestine issue, satisfactory to the Palestinian people, was found, Pakistan could not recognize Israel.
Referring to the dossier Pakistan recently presented on India’s sponsorship of terrorism to the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the Spokesperson called upon the UN Counter-Terrorism Bodies to proceed on the basis of evidence provided by Pakistan and urge India to renounce the use of terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said the world bodies should have also urged India to dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism it had established to inflict terrorism on Pakistan and stop the use of other Countries’ soil for its terrorist activities directed against Pakistan.
