ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has described the recently announced ceasefire between Azerbaijan and Armenia a positive development for peace and stability, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency.

The Spokesperson said that Pakistan believes that sustainable peace between the two parties would depend on the complete and comprehensive implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions and withdrawal of Armenian forces from Azerbaijani territories. Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri added that in this endeavor, Pakistan will continue to stand by the brotherly nation of Azerbaijan. Armenia and Azerbaijan also agreed to start talks on the settlement of the conflict.
