RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Pakistan on Friday successfully test fired its indigenously developed armed Drone called ‘Burraq’ and ‘Barq’ laser guided missile, according to the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa.
On his official twitter account, the DG ISPR told that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif attended the ceremony and witnessed the test fire of the new missile on static and moving targets.
The drone has impressive pin point accuracy, it is all weather and multiplied capability against terrorists, according to the DG ISPR.
On the occasion, the COAS commended scientists for their untiring efforts to acquire state of art technology putting Pakistan in different league.
The army chief termed it great national achievement and a momentous occasion. He said that it is a force multiplier in our anti-terror campaign.
The COAS also congratulated the nation, scientists and technicians involved in development of own drone. He said that let us join hands to take Pakistan forward in this field.
