Pakistan, Sweden agree to further strengthen bilateral ties

STOCKHOLM, Sweden: The Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari called on his Swedish counterpart Urban Ahlin in Stockholm and discussed various issues.

During the meeting, matters relating to regional situation especially Pakistan-India ties, Kashmir issue, Afghanistan and counter-terrorism also came under discussion.

Both the sides, during their meeting, agreed to further strengthen political, trade, and economic ties between the two countries.

The agreement Chairman Senate underscored the need for exploring new avenues of cooperation to take the current level of bilateral trade to its fullest potential.

Talking about Kashmir issue, he said that Pakistan strongly believes in negotiated and peaceful settlement of the issue.

Bukhari said that Pakistan wants to build peaceful relations with all its neighboring countries including India and Afghanistan.

The Speaker of the Swedish Parliament appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in eliminating terrorism and establishing peace in the region.
