ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and Turkey are enjoying exemplary affinity, unmatched warmth of relationship and amazing commonality of views on regional and international issues, Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain said on Tuesday.
Talking to a delegation of Turkish businessmen that called on him, the minister said brotherly relations between the two countries were growing with the passage of time and “bilateral ties are being enhanced in all fields including defence production,” said a press release.
The delegation was led by Deputy Chairman Omur Yildiz and member Hakan Kurt of MUSIAD, a prominent association of Turkish industrialists and businessmen, comprising of 11,000 members, who represent 45,000 companies operating in 65 countries.
With regard to cooperation in the business sector, Rana Tanveer said “it is expanding gradually and expected to grow manifolds. Recent years have seen growing trends and greater eagerness to further foster our existing relations.”
Deputy Chairman Omur Yildiz invited the minister to attend 16th MUSIAD International Fair, being held from November 9 to 12,, in CNR Expo Fair Centre, Istanbul.
The 15th MUSIAD International Fair was held in 2014 and attended by 51 ministers from 39 countries and 7,250 industrialists and businessmen from 123 countries.
The Turkish delegation also invited the Ministry of Science and Technology to participate in the 16th International Fair.
Rana Tanveer expressed best wishes for success of the MUSIAD International Fair.
He also invited the Turkish delegation and other members of MUSIAD to participate in the IDEAS-2016, a defence exhibition to be held in Pakistan.
The minister said that the entire Pakistani nation stood shoulder to shoulder with their Turkish brothers and supported the democratic government of Turkey.
