ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and Turkey on Friday pledged to continue their partnership for regional peace and stability.

The pledge was made when Pakistan-Turkey delegation level talks led by Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.

During talks, it was noted that both Pakistan and Turkey are tied in inseparable bonds of people to people affection based on common faith & objectives and shared destinies as members of the Islamic World.

Earlier Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Turkish Counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu held one on one talks, and discussed the strengthening Pak-Turkey strategic partnership in political and socio economic sectors.

The Turkish delegation led by Mevlut Cavusoglu arrived in Islamabad last night on a two-day official visit to Pakistan.

The delegation was received by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul.

Apart from meeting his Pakistani Counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu will also call on President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

During the meetings, bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments will be discussed.
