LONDON: Pakistan and the United Kingdom have agreed to further enhance their bilateral cooperation in various fields.

The agreement was reached when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with his British counterpart David Cameron in London on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the two leaders brought under discussion various issues pertaining to bilateral relations and regional security.

They reached a consensus to further enhance the cooperation between Pakistan and the United Kingdom in various fields.

The two leaders also discussed the ongoing investigation into the murder of Dr Imran Farooq, a former senior member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) who was killed near his home in North London on September 16, 2010. The investigation related to his murder is being carried out by the Scotland Yard.

Sharif and Cameron agreed to continue cooperation in the case and reiterated their resolve to bring the culprits involved in Imran Farooq murder to justice.

The meeting took place as Nawaz Sharif stopped London on Tuesday on way to the United States to attend the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
