ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Office said on Thursday that Pakistan has always asked India to refrain from interfering in its internal affairs.

In his weekly media briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, the newly appointed Foreign Office spokesman Khalil Ullah Qazi said that Pakistan has provided proofs of Indian involvement in Pakistani affairs at many occasions including the recent secretary level talks.

“We avail all possible opportunity to remind India to avoid in the internal affairs of Pakistan,” the spokesman said.

Dawood Ibrahim not at Pakistan’s soil

In reply to a question regarding Dawood Ibrahim, he said that Pakistan has always been saying that he is not at its soil and at last India has admitted the Pakistani stance saying that it does not know his whereabouts.

Pakistan hope to further cement its ties with new UK govt

The general elections are being held on Thursday in the United Kingdom to elect new 650-member House of Commons for the next five years.

Talking about the Pakistan’s relation with the new British government after today’s elections, the spokesman said that we enjoy close and cordial relations with the UK and hope to further cement these ties with the new government also.

FO terms PPP delegation’s visit to Kabul as good omen

Earlier in the morning, a delegation of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led by its Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zaradri left for Kabul to hold meetings with the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah.

In his media briefing, Khalil Ullah Qazi termed the visit of the PPP delegation to Kabul today as good omen and said that the government encourages political contacts between Pakistan and Afghanistan as these can be helpful in promoting our bilateral ties.
