ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday urged India to ensure protection of Pakistani prisoners languishing in their jails; in addition it asked India to arrange safe return of those prisoners who have completed terms of their punishment.
In an interview on Saturday, Foreign Office spokesman Aziz Ahmad Chaudhry said that Pakistan is considering sending family members of wounded Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah to India.
The spokesman said that Sanaullah, who is in critical condition at a hospital in India after attacked in a jail in Jammu, is an innocent person.
“We have concerns over the health condition of Sanaullah but at this stage it would be dangerous to shift him. However‚ we are considering shifting him to Pakistan,” he said.
Talking about Sarabjit Sindh, the spokesman said that he was a terrorist who broken the law and martyred many innocent citizens of Pakistan.
