ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has urged the world community to take Muslims as part of a solution to the issue of terrorism instead of taking them as cause behind the problem.
In a meeting with the British Under Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Tobias Ellwood in Islamabad on Tuesday, the minister said that more efforts are needed at the international level to defeat terrorism.
The interior minister said that Pakistan is playing a constructive role and making sincere efforts for peace in the region despite provocations and allegations from the other side.
His above comments came in reference to India whose not only border forces continue to commit ceasefire violations at the Pak-India border but also its leadership recently alleged Pakistan to be behind in terror-related issues inside the Indian territory.
Nisar further said that the military operation Zarb-e-Azb against various outlawed terror organizations in the country’s restive tribal region has been progressing successively since its launch in June last year and now it has entered the decisive phase.
Moreover, the minister expressed satisfaction on the interaction between Pakistan and Britain for promoting multilateral cooperation.
On the occasion, the British under secretary lauded sacrifices of the Pakistani nation and institutions in war on terror.
