Pakistan must perform at par with its true potential to survive a Test series loss against England, which they haven’t suffered since 2010 (Pakistan vs England Third Test).
It was in July/August 2010 when Pakistan lost to England by 1-3 in a four-match Test series. But afterward, Pakistan locked horn with England four times in the longest format, which included two home series in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) resulting in victory while two away series in England ending in a draw.
Now in 2020, in the first Test of the three-match series being held under the ICC Test Championship, Pakistan lost to England at Manchester by 3 wickets.

The rain-interrupted second Test at Southampton witnessed just one and half day’s play and eventually ended without yielding any result.
The third and last Test match again at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton will begin at 03:00 pm as per PST on August 21 (Friday).

The rain forecast is not very encouraging for the third Test as well but it is expected that the last five-day encounter won’t meet the same fate as what happened in the previous game.
Considering the below the par batting performance in the previous two Test matches and a fear of losing the series, Pakistan must be feeling the heat.
The inconsistency in the battling lineup has again been a cause of great concerns for Pakistan in the ongoing Test series.
The Opener Shan Masood smashed 156 runs in his first innings of Manchester Test but afterward, he produced just 0 and 1 run in the following innings.
His partner Abid Ali, Babar Azam, and Muhammad Rizwan also struck the fifties each but the rest of the top order batsmen including Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq have so far had a miserable outing.
Babar Azam requires further needs 29 runs to complete his 2,000 Test runs. So far, he has scored 1,971 runs with an average of 44.79 in his 51 innings of 28 Test matches.
