SHARJAH: England took the lead of 72 runs against Pakistan in the third Test when its all batsmen were bowled out for 306 runs in the first innings on the third day at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Earlier in the morning, when England resumed its first innings of the final test of the three-match series for 222 for 4, it lost its fifth wicket quickly when James Taylor was caught behind by Sarfaraz Ahmed off Rahat Ali after scoring 76 runs.
After a short while, Jonny Bairstow was bowled by Zulfiqar Babar at 43 runs. Adil Rashid got out at 8, SR Patel at 42, James Anderson at 7 and Ben Stokes at 0. Stuart Broad remained not out for England on 13 runs.
For Pakistan, Shoaib Malik grabbed 4 wickets, Yasir Shah 3, Rahat Ali 2 while Zulfiqar Babar took 1.

In its second innings, Pakistan had scored 20 runs without losing any wicket when this report was filed. Pakistan still required 52 runs to level the score, England made in its first innings.
Muhammad Hafeez were on 12 runs while the ODI Captain Azhar Ali had scored 8.
Pakistani batsmen need to perform much better as compared to first innings, if they have to bring England under pressure by gaining a decent lead. In its first innings, Pakistan was bowled out for 234 runs.

Pakistan has already gained a lead in the Test series after it defeated England in the second Test by 178 runs at Dubai. The first Test between the two sides had ended without yielding any result.
