Islamabad, Pakistan: Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar here on Saturday said that Dutch companies are welcome to explore business opportunities in Pakistan and avail the liberal investment regime that the country offers to foreign investors.
He was talking to Dutch Ambassador, Ms Jeanette Seppen who called on him here, said a statement issued by Ministry of Finance.

The Dutch envoy on this occasion said that a number of Dutch companies and firms of international repute were impressed by overall improvement in the security situation and economic stability in Pakistan and were interested in exploring business opportunities here.
Ms Jeanette Seppen said that Pakistan and Netherlands have a long history of economic cooperation and that her country would continue working alongside Pakistan in various spheres, particularly agriculture and energy sectors.
Finance Minister assured her of all possible support and facilitation to the Dutch companies for investment in Pakistan.
The Minister briefed the Envoy about the current profile of the national economy and said that after achieving economic stability the Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was now focused on growth and employment generation in the country.
He added that efforts were afoot to bolster power generation in the country and the government has plans to add close to 10,000 MW to the national grid by December 2017.
Ishaq Dar also apprised Ms Jeanette about Pakistan’s continued efforts to eliminate the scourge of extremism and the achievements made in the Operation Zarb e Azb. He said the government was now also focusing on the rehabilitation of the Temporary Displaced Persons.
The Minister wished Ms Jeanette the best in her diplomatic assignment in Pakistan and hoped that she would contribute to further strengthening of Pak- Netherlands partnership in different spheres.
Pakistan is seeking European investment in the country after Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif took over the charge of the country in year 2013.
