ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has welcomed statement of Indian Foreign Office about continuation of dialogues and said that Pakistan is optimistic of meaningful and durable dialogues with India.
The Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement on Wednesday that Pakistani Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jeelani has mailed a letter to his Indian counterpart, Sujata Mehta, for taking charge of her post.
Jalil Abbas welcomed statement of his Indian counterpart about continuation of dialogues with Pakistan, added the FO spokesman.
“Pakistan wants to have peaceful and friendly relations with India and it is expected that Indo-Pak ties will improve after new Indian foreign Secretary’s taking charge of the post,” said Pakistan Foreign Secretary in his letter to Indian counterpart.
