ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Under the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, Pakistan witnessed record exports worth over US$ 25 billion in the last Fiscal Year 2020-21.

In 2018, the textile sector exported products worth US$ 15.4 billion as compared to US$ 13.5 billion, according to official sources.

In the FY 2018 under the PTI regime, the IT exports stood at US$ 2.21 billion as against US$ 1.06 billion and remittances during the same period reached US$ 29.4 billion as against US$ 19.6 billion in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government.

The PTI government borrowed US$ 21 billion in the first three years of its term while the PML-N loaned out US$ 30 billion in the last three years of its rule.

Likewise, in the Financial Year 2020-21, the tax revenue of the PTI government was Rs 4,732 billion which was Rs 3,844 billion in 2018.

The PTI government maintained US$ 24.4 billion in Foreign Exchange Reserves last year as compared to US$ 16.3 billion in 2018.
