ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The number of people having died of Coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 18,993 after 78 more patients breathed their last in the last 24 hours.

As per the National Command and Operation Centre’s (NCOC) statistics, now Punjab has suffered a total of 9,058 deaths, Sindh, 4,742, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3,615, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) 715, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 508, Balochistan 248, and Gilgit-Baltistan 107.

The statistics showed that in the last 24 hours, 37,756 tests were conducted across the Country to ascertain the virus, and 3,447 of them returned positive recording a ratio of 9.12%.

With fresh infections, now the total number of Coronavirus Cases recorded since the beginning in the Country has risen to 861,473.

Out of them, 319,365 Cases have been registered in Punjab, 292,644 in Sindh, 124,484 in KPK, 78,200 in Islamabad, 23,447 in Balochistan, 17,945 in AJK, and 5,388 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The NCOC’s statistics also showed that 762,105 people have so far recovered from the disease across the Country while 80,375 are still under treatment.
