ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 4,525 people tested positive across Pakistan in the last 24 hours, registering the national positivity ratio of 11.2%.

In total, 40,369 tests were performed in the Country on March 18 to ascertain the virus among the masses, and 4,525 of them returned positive.

With a 23% COVID-19 positivity ratio recorded, Swat was the highest infected area in the Country yesterday followed by Peshawar with 22%, Nowshera 19%, Islamabad 16%, and Faisalabad and Rawalpindi 15% each.

So far a total of 659,116 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in the Country including 264,889 in Sindh, 215,227 in Punjab, 85,531 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 56,450 in Islamabad, 19,525 in Balochistan, 12,484 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and 5,010 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Besides, 41 more COVID-19 patients passed away of the disease in the Country on March 18. Out of them, 18 died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 17 in Punjab, 4 in AJK, and 2 in Islamabad.

In total, 14,256 COVID-19 patients have so far died in the Country including 6,246 in Punjab, 4,491 in Sindh, 2,301 in KPK, 561 in Islamabad, 348 in AJK, 206 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

As of March 29, 598,197 patients have recovered from the disease in the Country whereas 46,663 are undergoing treatment.
