Pakistan’s COVID-19 positivity ratio rises to 3.79%

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Coronavirus Cases in Pakistan are once again on the upward trajectory as the Country recorded 1,828 new COVID-19 infections on July 9 with a positivity ratio of 3.79%.

The latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) showed that 48,134 people were tested for Coronavirus on July 9 and 1,828 of them were found positive.

In the last 24 hours, 35 COVID-19 patients passed away across the Country, mostly in Sindh which recorded 17 deaths.

Likewise, Punjab suffered 10 deaths, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 5, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 3.

Throughout the Country, a total of 971,304 Coronavirus Cases have so far been reported.

Out of them, 347,793 Cases have been reported in Punjab, 345,269 in Sindh, 139,162 in KPK, 83,513 in Islamabad, 27,863 in Balochistan, 20,935 in AJK, and 6,769 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

In addition, the Country has so far registered 22,555 deaths caused by the virus. Punjab has recorded 10,815 deaths, Sindh 5,583, KPK 4,353, Islamabad 782, AJK 594, Balochistan 317, and Gilgit-Baltistan 111.

So far 912,295 infected people have recovered from the disease in the Country while 36,454 are currently receiving treatment.
