Pakistan’s COVID death toll surges to 12,128

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 62 patients suffering from Coronavirus passed away in Pakistan on February 9, raising the tally to 12,128, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

In the last 24 hours, 29 COVID patients died in Punjab, 25 in Sindh, 6 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 1 each in Balochistan and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

By now, Punjab has suffered 4,948 deaths, Sindh 4,157 deaths, KPK 1,970 deaths, ICT 481 deaths, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 273 deaths, Balochistan 197 deaths, and the Gilgit-Baltistan region 102 deaths.

The NCOC data showed that a total of 31,713 COVID tests were conducted across the Country on February 9 which found 1,072 people positive.

So far, in total 557,591 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in the Country. Of them, 251,758 Cases have been registered in Sindh, 161,757 in Punjab, 68,786 in KPK, 42,188 in ICT, 18,891 in Balochistan, 9,291 in AJK, and 4,920 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

However, 514,951 COVID patients have been recovered now from the infection across Pakistan.

Whereas as of February 10, 30,512 patients are undergoing treatment, and 1,744 of them are in Critical Condition.
