KARACHI, Pakistan: The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US $23,084.9 million on July 1, 2016.

In a statement on Monday, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that the foreign reserves held by it were US $ 18,128.9 million.

The net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were US $ 4,956.0 million.

The total liquid foreign reserves stood at US $ 23,084.9 million.

It was also pointed out that during the week ending July 2016, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves increased by US $1,309 million to US $18,129 million, compared to US $16,820 million in the previous week.

During the week, SBP received US $1,340 million from multilateral, bilateral and other official sources which include US $ 501 million received from IMF under EFF, US $502 million from World Bank and US $307 million from Asian Development Bank.

During the week, SBP made payments of US $50 million on account of external debt servicing.
