ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan’s trade deficit of US$ 164 million with Italy has turned into a trade surplus of US$ 210 million in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-20, according to the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood.
In a Twitter statement on Friday, the adviser said that it occurred despite the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic and supply chain disruptions.
Abdul Razak Dawood said that our exporters, the Ministry of Commerce and its Officials at Pakistan Embassy in Rome must be appreciated for their efforts.
It’s heartening to know that, despite CoVID19 and supply chain disruptions, Pakistan has turned trade deficit of $164 million with Italy into trade surplus of $210 million in FY 2019-20. 1/2
