ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) would organize five-day international conference on ‘literature, language and society’ from March 2.
This was stated by Chairman PAL Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim Bhogio in meeting with the representatives of literary and cultural organizations here at Academy on Tuesday.
More than 50 literary and cultural organizations representatives from twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad attended the meeting.
Chairman PAL said that the Academy is working for the promotion of country literature and the welfare of writers in the country.
He appreciated the role of literary organizations in promoting literature and culture of the country, adding that these organizations are PAL partners in its efforts to get its objectives.
He expressed the hope that all the literary and cultural organizations will extend their support and assistance in making the conference successful.
The representatives of the organizations assured that they would provide all possible assistance in organizing the conference.
The meeting was attended by Afshan Abbasi from Idara Adab-o-Saqafat, Iqbal Hussain Afkar and Mehmood Ahmed Pashtu Adbi Society, Muhammad Jafar Siddique Punjabi Adbi Parchar, Ameen Kunjahi Funkada, Anjum Khaleeq Imkaan, Aftab Zia Sukhanwar, Aal-e-Imran Potohari Adbi Board, Tabassum Ikhlaq Josh Memorial Committee, Rashida Maheen Malik Karwan-e-Qalam, Syed Zia-ud-Din Naeem Inhiraf International, Rukhsana Sehar Bazm-e-Sehar, Sarfaraz Shahid Bazm-e-Akbar, Syed Sajjad Mehdi Anjuman-e-Taraqi Pasand Musunfeen, Wafa Chisti, Nasir Aqeel Gosha-e-Adab, Ishfaq Saleem Mirza, Dr. Ravish Nadeem Islamabad Cultural Forum, Ubaid Bazigh Amar Voice of Wrtiers, Dr. Ghazanfer Mehdi Daira, Arsh Hashmi Mehfil-e-Naat, Niaz Ahmed Indus Cultural Forum and others.
