ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Wednesday claimed that the Supreme Court had rejected the letter by Qatari Prince Hamad bin Jassim bin Al Jaber Thani in reference to Panama Papers Case.

Earlier, Counsel of the PTI Naeem Bukhari submitted his arguments before the five-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali while counsel of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) prayed the Court to constitute a commission for investigation into Panama Papers.

In his remarks, the Chief Justice said that the private media should have conducted itself in a dignified manner and avoid making irresponsible statements.

The bench also noted that the newspaper cuttings could not be given much weightage in this case.

Later, the Court adjourned the hearing of Panama Papers Case till Tuesday next.

Separately talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court premises, the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said that PTI had failed to provide evidence regarding Panama case in the Supreme Court.
