ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Russian TV Channel RT on Tuesday officially received the Landing Rights in Pakistan from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).
The PEMRA granted the Landing Rights Permission for Foreign Satellite TV Channel to the “Russian Today (RT TV)” for the “News & Current Affairs” Category, enabling the latter to air its transmission in Pakistan through the available Cable network.
The Signing Ceremony was held at the PEMRA Headquarters in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The Chairman PEMRA Muhammad Saleem Baig presented the documents to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RUPA MEDIA (SMC-PVT) Limited Dr. Shahid Hasan.
The RT is one of the most state-run popular televisions of the Russian Federation.
It promotes news views documentaries films and current affairs shows in several languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, and Russian. It has become one of the most popular News Channels in the United States.
