ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A People’s Inquiry on “Alleged Forced Conversion/Forced Marriage of Minority Women” is set to take place at Hotel Margala in Islamabad on Saturday.
The people’s inquiry will examine case studies of victims and fact findings with policymakers, opinion-makers, and stakeholders on the issue of forced conversions of minority women in Pakistan.
The inquiry will be headed by Dr. Shaoib Suddle while Mrs. Jaculine Albert, Mrs. Remona Salik, MNA Dr. Ramesh Kumar, and Dr. Yaqoob Bangash will be part of the jury.
The parliamentarians including the Parliamentary Secretary for Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony Aftab Jahangir, Senator Dr. Ashok Kumar, Senator Muhammad Ali Khan Saif, and MNA Ramesh Kumar are expected to join.
The Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Dr. Qibla Ayaz and the Director Islamic Research Institute (IRI) Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq are also among prominent opinion makers.
The people’s inquiry will be joined by lawyers, journalists, activists, educationists, opinion-makers.
