ISLAMABAD: Former President Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf has been shifted to his farmhouse in Chak Shahzad from Police Lines Headquarters on Saturday evening, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
Earlier in the day, local administration declared his farmhouse a sub-jail. The decision, came a few hours after an anti-terrorism court sent Musharraf to jail on a two-week judicial remand till May 4 in connection with judges’ detention case, was taken due to security concerns.
Jail administration will take over the control of Musharraf’s house. While a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) will be deployed at Musharraf’s farmhouse.
Security has been tightened around the farmhouse in preparation. Musharraf will be brought to court on May 4 from the sub-jail.
