ISLAMABAD: Higher Education Commission (HEC) planned amendment bill has been challenged in the Supreme Court, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Monday.
A citizen, Syed Mahmood Akhtar Naqvi, filed the petition challenging the proposed bill. In the petition, 12 persons among them secretary education and chief election commissioner have also been named as respondent.
The petitioner made a plea that fake degree holders should be disqualified under Article 62 and 63 of the constitution and their salaries and privileges so far drawn be recovered from them.
