KARACHI: Top police officials on Monday filed a petition in the Sindh High Court challenging the appointment of the Additional Inspector General of Karachi Shahid Hayat.
The officials who filed the petition included Sanaullah Abbasi, Bashir Memon and other officers and they said that Shahid Hayat is a junior ranked officer and his appointment for the position is illegal.
The Chief Secretary Muhammad Ejaz Chaudhary and IG Sindh were made a party in the petition.
