ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the overall security situation in the country. They also discussed matters pertaining to the military operation Zarb-e-Azb and implementation of national plan of action on terrorism.
Earlier on Monday, in meeting on implementation of national action plan in Islamabad, the prime minister said that terrorists are enemies of peace and humanity, and every possible step will be taken for their complete elimination.
The prime minister appreciated the Punjab government for taking lead in implementing the plan against terrorism and extremism. He asked other provinces to speed up implementation of this important initiative which has the backing of the entire political spectrum of the country.
