ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa held a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Thursday and discussed professional matters pertaining to Pakistan Army as well as internal and external security situation.
Taking into account recent efforts to stoke violence in Pakistan, the prime minister resolved that the entire nation is united against the cowardly acts of the enemy.
The prime minister paid tributes to personnel of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the motherland.

The meeting took place amid a new wave of terror attacks in the Country including the most recent one in which a religious seminary was targeted in Peshawar through an improvised explosive device (IED), killing at least seven persons and leaving over 70 injured.
Prior to that, a series of terror attacks were carried out this month in Balochistan and the newly merged tribal districts, targeting the personnel of law enforcement agencies.
