It is the first NSC meeting since the new government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan took over the power in the Centre in August 2018.
Earlier, the Chief of Arm Chief (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa also held a separate meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In the meeting, the discussion was held on various issues including recent security developments and the prime minister’s recent trip to China.
They also discussed the situation arising out of vandalism committed by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) activists during the countrywide three-day protests.
Sources said that it was decided in the meeting that stern action would be taken against miscreants involved in the vandalism for causing huge losses to public and state property.
