ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to launch a special App with the name “Mera Bacha Alert” to cope with the growing cases of child abduction and disappearance.

The mobile-based application “Mera Bacha Alert” will be prepared in two weeks.

With help of the App, the data of a missing child will immediately reach the police officials. It will be linked with Pakistan Citizen Portal.

Meanwhile while presiding over a meeting of the Federal Cabinet in Islamabad on Tuesday, the prime minister was informed that more than 11, 73, 000 citizens have registered with the Pakistan Citizen Portal app, and more than a million complaints have been disposed of successfully.

Separately, Imran Khan also took notice of delays in service delivery by the government entities, and issued directives to dispose of all unattended or delayed applications filed by citizens within the next four weeks.

The prime minister also asked federal ministries, divisions and provincial governments to work out minimum timelines for processing of applications and petitions from citizens, and project such timelines on their websites and notice boards within 10 days to build confidence of the people in government functionaries.
