ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan and the President of the European Council Charles Michel held a telephonic conversation on Monday and discussed the Ukraine situation.
Talking to the European Council president, the prime minister shared concern over continued military conflict, and highlighted its adverse economic impact on developing Countries.
The prime minister also stressed an urgent need for ceasefire and de-escalation of the Ukraine crises.
“I emphasized the importance of humanitarian relief & reiterated call for a solution through dialogue & diplomacy,” Prime Minister Imran Khan told on Twitter.
The prime minister said that he and the European Council president agreed that Countries like Pakistan could play a facilitating role in this endeavour.
“I look forward to close engagement to promote shared objectives,” Imran Khan said.
