ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has undertaken 22 official foreign visits from September 2018 to date incurring the expenditure of Rs 119.57 million, the Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi told the National Assembly on Monday.

In reply to a question asked by Murtaza Javed Abbasi of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the foreign minister told the House that a total of 440 persons accompanied Prime Minister Imran Khan on his 22 foreign visits.

Qureshi told that during his 20 official visits, the government aircraft was used, on one visit a commercial flight was used while on one visit a charted flight was used.

The foreign minister said that the expenditure on the aircraft is being compiled, adding that the same will be submitted to the Hon’ble House as soon as it is finalized.

To another question by Murtaza Javed Abbasi, the minister apprised the House that Pakistan has its diplomatic presence in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Niger, Ireland, Serbia, Singapore, New Zealand and Cambodia; however, these Countries do not have any Mission in Pakistan.

The foreign minister said that the reason Pakistan has Missions in the aforementioned Countries is to strengthen political ties, trade links and bilateral cooperation.
