ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated his government’s commitment to transforming the lives of disable persons by offering them equal opportunities in education and employment.
“On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, I want to reiterate our govt’s commitment to transforming the lives of those with disabilities by offering them equal opportunities in education & employment,” Imran Khan said in a twitter message on Monday.
“Our Bill to empower & enable them to surmount all barriers is ready,” the prime minister added.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is being observed today across the World with the theme “Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”.
The aim of observing this day is to promote rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development. The day also raises awareness about situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
Meanwhile, in his message on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that the provincial government is taking steps for the progress and welfare of special people and specific policy is being devised in new Pakistan to provide them with their rights.
The Chief Minister said that the purpose of observing this day is to devise comprehensive measures to turn disable persons into useful citizen.
