BEIJING: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has invited China’s Gezhouba Company to launch more power projects in Pakistan.

Talking to the President of the company‚ who called on him on board the bullet train by which he is going from Beijing to Shanghai to attend an energy conference on Saturday‚ he said the government will provide every possible facility to Chinese companies.

Gezhouba President apprised the Prime Minister that his company is working on Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project‚ which will be completed in 2016.

During the journey‚ the Prime Minister is also meeting Chinese investors to woo them to make investment in various projects in Pakistan.

The chief executives of China Engineering Corporation and Huawei Technologies also had meetings with the Prime Minister on board the train.

Sharif asked the China Engineering Corporation to help Pakistan convert furnace oil power projects on coal.

The premier also invited the Chinese company to set up 1000 megawatts power plant in Jamshoro in Sindh province.

President of Huawei company also called on the Prime Minister and informed him that his company has so far trained 4‚000 Pakistani engineers in various disciplines.

The Prime Minister asked the company president to launch more projects in Pakistan and the government will provide all necessary facilities to it.
