ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has issued ordered to the Interior Secretary for filing treason case against former president Pervez Musharraf.
Earlier today, the Deputy Attorney Dil Muhammad Ali Zai has submitted federal government’s reply, over filing of a treason case against Pervez Musharraf, to the Supreme Court.
The federal regime has said in its reply that the Prime Minister has issued instructions to the Interior Secretary to file a case of treason for undermining the Constitution against former president Pervez Musharraf.
The DG of FIA has been instructed to form a probe committee, comprising officers of other probe agencies, for collecting proves against former president in the case, added the federal regime in its reply.
A copy of notification issued by the Principal Secretary of the Prime Minister has been also attached with the reply.
That notification instructs the DG of FIA to add officers of good repute in the probe committee, to be formed for collecting evidences against Musharraf.
The Supreme Court had instructed the federal regime to inform the court about the procedure of filing a case of treason against former president Pervez Musharraf, till June 27.
The federal regime has filed his reply in accordance to the instructions of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has adjourned hearing of the case till Thursday (tomorrow).
