ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has issued directions for the implementation of relief measures announced by him yesterday in the National Assembly.
On Monday, while delivering his maiden speech at the National Assembly, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced 10 percent raise for pensioners from April 1, an increase in minimum wages up to Rs 25,000 per month, and the provision of subsidized flour under Ramazan package.
Today, the prime minister has directed to immediately implement the announcements made regarding increase in pension and minimum wage of Rs 25,000.
The prime minister directed to ensure strict monitoring of Sasta Bazaars during Ramadan-ul-Mubarak in order to ensure the provision of quality items to the people at reduced rates. He said that no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
Shahbaz Sharif has also announced to change the office timings. The offices will now open at 8 am instead of 10 am.
In addition, he has also abolished two weekly off days. There will be only one weekly off day in government offices.
Talking to the Staff of the PM Office, the prime minister said that we have come to serve the masses and no moment will be wasted. He said that honesty, transparency, diligence and hard work are our guiding principles.
