ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed to make effective and simplify the system of person-to-government payments.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Head of Prime Minister’s Strategic Reforms Unit Salman Sufi said that will be our effort to ensure that the people could make online payments through National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) in the next six months.
In this regard, directions have been issued to the President of National Bank of Pakistan, he said.
Salman Sufi said that this initiative of the present government is a positive step towards cashless economy.
A Cashless economy requires robust online Payment systems with minimal or no charges to the citizen.
