ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has felicitated the pilgrims of Hajj-e-Akbar and prayed for the blessings of Allah Almighty upon the Muslim Ummah and Pakistan.
In a message on Friday, the prime minister said that today is a special blessed day to seek forgiveness and mercy of Allah.
حج اکبر کی سعادت حاصل کرنے والے حجاج سمیت پوری امت کو مبارک پیش کرتا ہوں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کے عالم انسانیت بالخصوص مسلمانوں پر اس کے رحم، امت کے اتحاد، ترقی و خوش حالی، وباؤں سے نجات، مقبوضہ فلسطین اور کشمیر کی آزادی اور مظلوم انسانیت کے دکھوں اور مصائب سے نجات کی دعا کی اپیل کرتا ہوں

The prime minister appealed to the Hujjaj to offer special prayers for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and progress, prosperity and deliverance from epidemics and diseases for the whole mankind.
Shahbaz Sharif prayed that may Pakistan be relieved of debt and economic difficulties and become economically self-reliant. He also prayed for liberation of occupied Palestine and Kashmir and deliverance of the oppressed humanity from sufferings.
Today, one million Hajj pilgrims reciting Labbaik Allahumma Labaik are moving towards Arafat from Mina Tent Village to perform Waqoof-i-Arafat, Rukne-Azam of the Hajj which marks climax of the Hajj.
The Hujjaj will listen the Hajj Sermon at Masjid-e-Nimrah while staying in Arafat on Friday. Dr. Al Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al Issa will deliver the sermon.
The pilgrims are performing Hajj for the first time after a hiatus of two years following the travel restrictions caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
