The NCOC was dissolved in March 2022 amid all-time low COVID-19 indicators and high levels of vaccination across the Country.
Yesterday, the NIH said that it had detected the first case of Omicron sub-variant BA.2.12.1 which was causing an increasing number of cases in different Countries.
The NIH advised people to take the best preventive measures including wearing masks and getting vaccinated to avoid contracting the virus.
“We strongly recommended getting vaccinated and all those due for boosters must get the shots immediately,” it said.
