ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has thanked the Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Premier Li Keqiang for the financial assistance to flood-affected people of Pakistan.
In a Twitter statement on Tuesday, Shahbaz Sharif said that this flood is like no other in terms of its intensity and spread.
The prime minister said that China has been there for us at the most difficult times and we greatly value its support.

China has announced an aid of 100 million Yuan for the flood victims of Pakistan. It has donated 25,000 tents and other relief goods.
The first consignment of 300 tents will reach Karachi on Tuesday (today) and Wednesday (tomorrow).
The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong will deliver the relief goods to Pakistan authorities in Karachi.
As per estimates, the record rainfall and flooding have affected 33 million people in 110 districts across Pakistan.
They have killed 1,033 people & injured further 1,527, destroyed 17,566 schools, damaged 3.6 million acres of crops, and perished 719,000 livestock.
