LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (N) has sought transfer of twenty-seven government top officials prior to upcoming general elections, the ruling party in Punjab also seeks removal of incumbent governors of provinces, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Wednesday.
In this regard, opposition Leader Choudhry Nisar Ali put forth a formal demand to make the upcoming elections transparent.
PML (N) demands include transfer of home secretaries, inspector general of police, chief secretaries in all the provinces, director general Intelligence Bureau, DG FIA, federal interior secretary and secretary establishment
In addition, it has demanded that NADRA and PEMRA should be made to work under the supervision of the Election Commission of Pakistan. Moreover, personal secretaries of the prime minister, all provincial governors and chief ministers should also be removed, it added.
Similarly, PML (N) has also demanded to change the country’s ambassadors in important countries such as the US, UK and others before the general elections.
It also seeks change in top leadership of the state-owned television and radio apart from transfer of IG Islamabad, Additional IG Special Branch and federal and provincial information secretaries.
