JHANG, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has given equal rights to all provinces, and hoped that the ruling party would be elected again in next general elections scheduled in June 2018.
While addresses the groundbreaking ceremony of 1263 MW LNG power plant at Haveli Bahadur Shah in Jhang, the prime minster expressed optimism that when after 14 months this project would start producing electricity, PML-N would be in government.
Under the Rs 80 billion project being executed by the Punjab government, 810 megawatt of electricity will be added to the national grid system in 14 months.
“I am pleased to inaugurate the 4th LNG electricity production plant,” the prime minister said, adding that the PML-N government has fulfilled its all promised regarding electricity production.
The prime minister said that the PML-N government has completed three LNG electricity projects in last 20 months.
Khaqan Abbasi said that the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has put his all efforts to complete these projects. He said that what Pakistan governments had to do in 70 years we did in four years, adding that without Shahbaz Sharif we would have been unable to complete power projects.
Moreover, the prime minister also said that it took Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) 30 months to complete the rental power project which, however, could not produce single megawatt. He said that PPP did not produce even one megawatt electricity in its last era.
