ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The State Minister for Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal on Tuesday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government wanted to give rights to Balochistan because the bad governance by the previous government from 2008-2013 had damaged the situation there.
While speaking on a point of order in National Assembly, the minister said terrorism had been eliminated from Balochistan and schools were open now.
Rana Afzal further said those talking about honesty in politics at that stage should have reviewed their past as they reached an agreement with a former dictator through National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO). He said those elements were now talking about rights of Balochistan which had done nothing from 2008-13 for the province during their tenures.
The state minister said PML-N announced to support Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Mian Raza Rabbani for the slot of the Senate Chairmanship due to his ability. He said Raza Rabbani was a man of dignity who run the Upper House of the Parliament in a good manner.
